Full Road Accident Statistics for Songkran 2018

These are the full statistics for the Seven Dangerous Days of the Songkran Holiday in 2018. This year the period is from 11th to 17th April 2018.  The final tally from the the seven days, compared to last year, is 418 deaths (389 deaths), 3,897 injuries (3,807 injuries) and 3,724 accidents (3,689 accidents) from road accidents.

The following are some  statistics:

The provinces with the highest number of deaths were Nakhon Ratchasima (20 deaths). Out of the 3,724 accidents, 382 resulted in deaths and 3,426 resulted in injuries. Out of the 418 people that died, 340 were male and 78 were female. Of the 3,897 that were injured, 2,728 were male and 1,169 were female. In the 20-24 age group, 63 people died accounting for 15.07% of the deaths. Other age groups are as follows: 1-14 (19 dead), 15-19 (41 dead), 25-29 (41 dead), 30-39 (69 dead), 40-49 (57 dead), and 50 upwards
