Ukrainian art exhibition of hidden images at the BACC from 2-14 October 2018

A fascinating art exhibition has opened this week at the Bangkok Art and Cultre Centre (BACC) in the heart of Bangkok. Presented by the Embassy of Ukraine, around 70 paintings by Ukrainian artist Oleg Shupliak are on show at the “Imaginarium” exhibition at the BACC from now until 14th October. Mr. Shupliak’s primary technique, which he’s been refining since 1992, masks portraits within larger depictions of figures and landscapes in a kind of modern optical illusion art. What looks like a woman seated in front of a table with a white tablecloth up close can also be seen as a portrait of Salvador Dali from afar.
