The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) would like to provide the latest update from Phuket province regarding its ongoing unprecedented measures to prevent and mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In the latest move to intensify its COVID-19 control efforts, Phuket province took a step further and ordered all residents to wear either surgical or cloth masks when leaving their residence. The order also prohibits any activities deemed unhygienic that may pose a risk for the transmission of infectious diseases.
The order came into effect from today, 7 April, 2020, until further notice.
This followed several measures current in place as previously reported by TAT, include:
